There was cool technology involved with most of them - most to unlock more clues, which is expected. The movie replaced the original idea of a board game that could suck people in with the formula of it being a videogame. Without realizing the danger that lies ahead or understanding the rules, you have no choice but to start the game. Each of these scenarios will have a few different envelopes, which represent the different stages of the ‘Escape Room’. Our game master Cat was truly amazing by keeping us immersed into the game, and also answering all of our questions perfectly at the end.

It seems that the tale of Jumanji isn’t finished just yet, as a videogame is about to be released, as well as a new movie which is supposed to hit the theaters this December. There were a number of fun puzzles and interactions including a teamwork puzzle, a physical interaction, and one that wasn’t particularly challenging, but was beautiful and a delight to complete. Once we were in the video game, we each selected a character and received an ability based on that role. Even though you can play the scenarios with the digital decoder, you’ll actually need the physical decoder to solve a few of the puzzles. We were in Sheffield for something else and tried this as a 'walk-in' which they were really good to arrange for us and we thank them for this. They have one toilet and a number of small lockers, big enough to take what 8 people might have in their pockets but not for bags. More than often you’ll have to make do with normal paper materials, which sometimes even rip when pressing them out of their molds.

Some of the puzzles were a little vague and, when we eventually figured out what we needed to so with one puzzle (after a hint as nothing was obvious) the GM had to 'assist' from outside the room. The scenarios in this box are story related, with the first one revolving around finding the new digital Jumanji game and of course getting sucked inside the world of Jumanji.I could forgive this if 60 Out had nailed other big moments from the movie, but it didn’t really do that either. If you're looking for a challenge and a great team-building experience, I'd definitely recommend it!
